The beginning...

My first post in my 2011 health adventure!
This is my 30th year here on planet earth (unless you count the 9months I spent growing... I was in pretty good health at that point anyways) and I have spent my time bouncing around from fat to thin and everything between. I own clothing in every size imaginable and I keep them all just in case I make my way back down the size ladder (I think not an uncommon thing to do although perhaps on a more moderate level than my own haha). Thanks to inspiration (and planned hard work) from Innovative Fitness in Port Moody and my team at Impulse Sport Therapeutics we are going to see how much change can be made to one body (mine!) over the course of a year. Our focus is health (not just weight loss) and I'm looking forward to learning and passing on my experience, tips, inspiration, and ideas! Time to finally take some ownership and control over my body...it's the only one I get!

  1. Hey Leah!

I'm excited that you've taken this step (the blog specifically) because it will really help with the accountability.

Suggestion for a near future post: Your goals. Try to be as specific as you can, and add pictures, dates, feelings you want to have. You name it. Make it thorough and motivate yourself with it.

A body transformation is a good one - but there need to be others: imagine your body is already just the way you want it... now what?

What would you want to do with that body? Climb a mountain? Run a marathon? Do a triathlon? Hike Machu Picchu? What did you love as a kid? Maybe you want to do that again?

Get it all into your blog.

So excited to help you with this project!

    MJ
